Presenting the Taylor 50th Anniversary Builder’s Edition 812ce LTD.
The first 50th Anniversary Grand Concert body size guitar features Indian Rosewood back and sides paired with a Sinker Redwood top. It's also the first Builder's Edition model to feature the Grand Concert body size and shorter scale length.
Indian rosewood, revered for its rich bass, bell-like trebles and lush overtones, pairs beautifully with sinker redwood, a wood reclaimed from northern California rivers that blends cedar-like warmth and touch sensitivity with a wide dynamic range.
Taylor's V-Class bracing levels up volume and sustain while improving intonation all the way up the neck.
Builder’s Edition ergonomic enhancements include a beveled armrest, cutaway, chamfered edges and a contoured Curve Wing bridge.
Together with its 24-7/8⅞” scale length that makes fretting easier and adds a slinkier feel on the strings, these enhancements raise this Grand Concert’s levels of comfort and playability to new heights.
Visual details include an abalone rosette with rosewood/maple/black purfling around a rosewood-bound soundhole, black/maple/ rosewood top purfling, an Indian rosewood pickguard, Element fretboard and peghead inlays in gold-hued mother-of-pearl, and maple purfling around the back, fretboard and peghead. A Kona edgeburst on the back and sides presents a dusky visual vibe while a gloss finish highlights the guitar’s beautifully sculpted contours.
Ebony bridge pins with gold acrylic dots, Gotoh 510 antique gold tuners and a commemorative label round out the special anniversary touches. It comes equipped with an onboard ES2 pickup and ships in a Taylor deluxe hardshell case.
