Scott Stine
We were fortunate to secure Scott Stine as one of our first instructors when we opened the Performance Academy. He came to us with a rich background of academic experience. Scott attended Cedar Valley Community College where he studied music and later studied under Dan Haerle a well-known music professor at the University of North Texas. He was also a faculty member at the Prestonwood School of Fine Arts as well as a clinician and pioneer for Ibanez’s 7 string guitars.
Scott works well with ages 9 and up. He’s a tremendously gifted guitarist and instructor who can benefit students of all skill levels and styles. His teaching approach is articulate and easy to understand.
Scott offers beginning to advanced guitar instruction. His specialty is “Shred” guitar in the styles of Yngwie Malmsteen and Paul Gilbert. Scott is also a great fit for professional guitarist looking to enhance their live performance skills.
Scott’s live performance resume is filled with tenure as a member of multiple high profile touring acts. He was a Shrapnel Recording Artist whose album “Broke” received worldwide recognition and was featured on Liquid Note Records Compilation CD “The Alchemists” spotlighting 27 of the world’s greatest guitarist. Scott is currently the Instrumental Music Director at The Life Point Church in Plano Texas.
Scott is available for lessons on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
